The atoll of Tetiaroa belongs to the Windward Islands in the Society Archipelago. It is the flattest island of the archipelago and is attached to the community of Arue, at the north of Tahiti.

Tetiaroa is located 50 kms away from Tahiti. The atoll covers an area of about 585 hectares of sand divided into thirteen “motus” (islets) with various surfaces. The lagoon is 7 kms wide and 30 meters deep. There is no pass. Access by the sea is therefore only possible with a small boat or via Air Tetiaroa if you choose to stay in the only resort on the island.

Renowned for its long sandy beaches where turquoise waters rhymes with quietness and magnificence, the island was the holiday home of the Pomare Royal family. Marlon Brando felt in love with it and ended up buying it in 1966.
