Financial Guarantee is managed by the Banque de Tahiti (Agence Fare Tony – Boulevard De La Reine Pomare IV – BP 1602 – 98713 – Papeete – Tahiti – French Polynesia).
The present terms & conditions apply to all sales transactions concluded by TAHITI EXPERIENCES with travelers or travel partner intermediaries.
Depending on the type of service sold, specific conditions may apply.
The traveler or travel partner intermediaries of TAHITI EXPERIENCES must read and agree to abide by the terms & conditions of use, plus all terms used in the proposal prior completing the order. As a consequence, the order constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance to the present terms & conditions of TAHITI EXPERIENCES.
A deposit is required to hold your booking. The payment of the deposit, or any partial or full payment for a reservation, is considered as a confirmation of stay and shall constitute consent to all provisions stated in the present terms & conditions. No service will be hold without reception of the deposit or payment.
In order to proceed to all reservations, the following required information have to be provided :
International tickets cannot be issued until we receive a copy of the name page of the passenger’s passport.
A deposit is required for all reservations.

All payments by credit card or bank transfer are made in Euros (EUR).

TAHITI EXPERIENCES will not endorse nor be held responsible for all fees and/or commissions charged by your bank and/or credit card company. We do recommend that you contact your dedicated customer care representative in advance, for more information.
At time of booking, TAHITI EXPERIENCES strongly recommends that our clients have a Travel Protection Plan or Travel Insurance, which takes into account the epidemic risk associated with COVID-19 when traveling.
If international flights are not purchased through TAHITI EXPERIENCES, the customer shall provide all flights information (flight number, departure/return dates, arrival/departure times) in order to make all the necessary arrangments prior to arrival. TAHITI EXPERIENCES cannot be held responsible for any error or omission of the traveler regarding the information relating to his international flights.
Airlines here are bound by the Warsaw Convention, extended to French Polynesia, just like its modern version, the Montreal Convention (flights between Tahiti and Auckland). The Montreal Convention only applies for transportation between member countries. It does not apply to Air Tahiti Group and other locally based Airlines.
French Polynesia is not part of the European Union, therefore European Union laws do not apply to Airlines based in French Polynesia, except for flights departing from a country, member of the European Union. Airlines such as Air Tahiti Nui, Air France or French Bee are bound to European laws only regarding flights departing from Paris.
Delays or flight cancellations are liabilities of the Airlines, not the agency. Airlines Service Complaint contact will be provided for any claim, by your Travel Trusted Designer.
In cabin or Check-in luggage restrictions : conditions vary from one company to the other and will be notified to you by your Trusted Travel Designer.
Check-in required 3 hours before departure. Check-in closes 1 hour before departure.
If international flights are not purchased through TAHITI EXPERIENCES, the customer shall provide all flights information (flight number, departure/return dates, arrival/departure times) in order to make all the necessary arrangments prior to arrival. TAHITI EXPERIENCES cannot be held responsible for any error or omission of the traveler regarding the information relating to his international flights.
The Montreal Convention does not apply to Air Tahiti Group and other locally based Airlines. Domestic (or inter-island) flights operating within French Polynesia are bound to the Warsaw International Convention.
Delays or flight cancellations are liabilities of the Airlines, not the agency. Airlines Service Complaint contact will be provided for any claim, by your Travel Trusted Designer.
Carry-on luggage : Only one piece of luggage per passenger is allowed in cabin, with a maximum weight of 5 kg (11 lbs). Luggage dimensions should not exceed 55 x 35 x 25 cm (22x14x10 in). Carry-on luggage exceeding weight must be put as checked luggage. (luggage remains under passenger’s responsibility during the entire flight).

If domestic flights are not purchased through TAHITI EXPERIENCES, the customer shall provide all flights information (flight number, departure/return dates, arrival/departure times) in order to make all the necessary arrangments prior to arrival. TAHITI EXPERIENCES cannot be held responsible for any error or omission of the traveler regarding the information relating to his domestic flights.
Any cancellation request should be made by email to TAHITI EXPERIENCES : contact@tahiti-experiences.net
The date of reception of the email will be regarded to confirm the cancellation, which will trigger the cancellation fees levy by TAHITI EXPERIENCES.
Special cancellation and modification policies may apply for itineraries including specific rooms, cruises, hotels during December holiday period and some promotional airfares. Information will be provided upon request at the time of booking.
Refund procedure can take up to 4 weeks.
Due to possible unavoidable events in general travels and stays, please understand our rules might be subject to exceptions. Should any considerable modifications occur prior to departure, the customer or partner travel intermediary will be notified by email or phone.
Cancellation : In the event TAHITI EXPERIENCES must consider that it may be necessary to cancel the travel in part or in it’s entirely, the customer or partner travel intermediary will be notified by email or phone. An alternative will be first suggested. If any cannot be found, a refund of the paid amount will occur. The customer or partner travel intermediary shall be no claim for damages, compensation or interests.
Modification : In the event TAHITI EXPERIENCES must consider that it may be necessary to modify the travel in part or in it’s entirely, the customer or partner travel intermediary will be notified by email or phone. The following solutions will be suggested by TAHITI EXPERIENCES :
If any of the service providers of TAHITI EXPERIENCES are no longer able to deliver or ensure the quality of its service as laid down in the contract, a refund of the paid amount will occur.
Refund procedure can take up to 4 weeks.
Each traveler (Adult, Child, Infant) has the responsibility to obtain and carry all required valid documents to travel (passport, entry regulations, vaccinations, visas, etc.) and sufficient funds to cover the length of your stay. Expiration dates of these documents must be checked or renewed if necessary.
All travelers must hold: a passport valid for six months from travel date, a return airline ticket to their resident country or to at least two more continuing destinations and sufficient funds to support themselves while in French Polynesia.
13.1 – U.S. Entry & Transit Requirements for Nationals of Visa Waiver Program countries*:
Passengers will have to apply for an approved travel authorization prior to departure, on the following secure website : https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov. An application can be submitted at any time before your travel to the United States. However, any ESTA authorization request must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to departure date.
To transit the United States, the traveler has to be in possession of a valid return airline ticket and hold an e-passport. If not, make a visa application with the Embassy of the United States or get a renewed passport and apply for an approved travel authorization prior to departure, at least 72 hours before the flight departure, on the following secure website: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov.
The ESTA application is charged 14$ /person (not included in the booking) and is valid for two years from the date of authorization, or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.
U.S. Entry or transit will not be authorized if the traveler has visited one of the country black-listed by the U.S.A. Administration.

13.2 – Entry Requirements to French Polynesia
French & European (E.U.) Citizens : No visa required for French or European passport holders to enter French Polynesia.
U.S. ; Canadian ; New Zealand & Australian Citizens : No visa is required for stays of up to 90 days.
Other Country Travel Documents & Visa requirements : Please check with the French Consulate of your living country and request to get specific information for entry to French Polynesia as these requirements can differ from France.
Yellow Fever : The vaccination for yellow fever is required for all travelers over the age of 12 months arriving from high-risk countries of Africa or South America and for those travelers who have spent more than 12 hours in any airport of these high-risk countries. The traveler has the responsibility to ensure to be vaccinated for yellow fever at least 10 days before departure date. The vaccination certificate may be requested at boarding. If you are traveling to the United States, be sure all your electronic devices (e.g. computers, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, game consoles, cameras, etc.) are charged. They may be checked for proper function and if they do not turn on, your device may be confiscated.
The traveler is solely responsible for complying with all laws, regulations, orders, demands and travel requirements of countries to be flown from, into or over (in transit).
A justification may be required and presented at check-in for travelers whom take advantage of special airfares. Information will be given on request at the time of booking.
TAHITI EXPERIENCES nor the air carrier can be held responsible for costs, expenses, or damages actual or consequential, resulting from the failure to obtain a valid passport and/or visa as required by the law of French Polynesia and France, or for the refusal of French authorities to admit the passenger to the French Polynesia territory for any reason whatsoever.
TAHITI EXPERIENCES nor the air carrier can be held responsible for missed international departure flight due to passenger failure to show on time at the airport.
The responsibility of TAHITI EXPERIENCES as a seller of travel is defined by deliberation No 87-138 AT of 23 December 1987 of French Polynesia and its enacting Decree No 80CM of 28 January 1988. TAHITI EXPERIENCES exploits a Travel Agency Licence (type A) delivered by the Tourism Ministry of French Polynesia set out in decree #3051/MTT of March 09, 2020, which leads to sell any product or service related to travel. As such, all customer deposits are secured by a bank guarantee managed by the Banque de Tahiti. TAHITI EXPERIENCES holds professional indemnity insurance cover through GENERALI France ASSURANCES, Papeete, Tahiti.
The services that we supply consist solely of designing, arranging and coordinating travel, activity, events, and accommodation products and services. This involves making reservations, issuing the appropriate tickets and vouchers to, and behalf of, clients for the provision of products and services provided by various suppliers and partners.
We undertake to perform these services with reasonable care and skill. However, in the event that we do not meet that undertaking, and to the extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage whatsoever (including liability for negligence) that may arise in connection with our performance of these services.
The standards presented for the accommodation and other services are based on various factors, and should be treated as a guide only. TAHITI EXPERIENCES makes no representation or warranty whatsoever as to the provision of any service of which we are not the product or service supplier.
The carriers, hotels and other suppliers providing travel or other services on this website are independent contractors and not agents or employees of TAHITI EXPERIENCES. TAHITI EXPERIENCES is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of any such suppliers or for any personal injuries, death, property damage, or other damages or expenses resulting therefrom. We have no liability and will make no refund in the event of any delay, cancellation, overbooking, strike, force majeure or other causes beyond their direct control, and they have no responsibility for any additional expense, omissions, delays, re-routing or acts of any government or authority.
TAHITI EXPERIENCES will not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond our control including, but not limited to terrorism, war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, bad weather, pandemics, epidemics, acts of God, acts of Government or any other authorities, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action.
TAHITI EXPERIENCES cannot and does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of any product or service supplier in connection with your vacation arrangements pursuant to a contract between them and you (which may be evidenced in writing by the issue of a ticket, voucher, coupon or any such other document electronic or physical alike) and over whom we have no direct or exclusive control.
Where for any reason, a product or service supplier is unable to deliver or ensure the quality of its service as laid down in the contract with TAHITI EXPERIENCES, to substitute comparable or equivalent facilities or services without incurring any liability to you.
The right is reserved to substitute hotels of similar category or change schedules without prior notice should circumstances so require. No refund can be made nor will credit be given, provided that in the event of such change.
TAHITI EXPERIENCES undertakes to supply photos and illustrations, which give the user an indication of the services being offered. Any room or cabin plans, maps, illustrations, photographs or any other graphic representation of products and/or services and the destination should be considered as representative only. TAHITI EXPERIENCES is committed to providing the most accurate and up-to-date presentation of our destination possible. However, the agency cannot be held responsible for any mistakes or omissions.
The present terms & conditions are subject to the laws of French Polynesia. Any claims arising out of our provision of products and/or services to you under these terms & conditions will be governed by the Tribunal or Court having jurisdiction in French Polynesia.
Any legal action arising under the present terms & conditions shall be litigated only in the appropriate Tribunal or Court having jurisdiction in French Polynesia. You irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the appropriate French Polynesian Tribunal or Court.
